Today is not a total loss
I haven't felt like starting the project I really should be working on but I decided to work on something I started many months ago. This piece was screened, rolled over stencils, etc using dye paste. It was pretty blah and sitting on my design wall waiting for some inspiration. I decided to play with some paint sticks and a new stencil. I think I have improved it. I will let it dry and see if I still like it tomorrow! It has no name so if anyone has something brilliant, please make suggestions.

Sherryl, this is so fun!!
I like it.. cannot name it tho'.
The longer I look at it the more I see in shapes, I have been squinting at it and it contains some interesting lines that might work for some hand long stitching...
I have also just been thru your site, I have missed a LOT!! And you have been having so much fun! Love your lizard..I think they are great. We don't have those, just snakes.
That blue piece you took to the East with you.. wowie!! What did you do with it after all?
Thanks Carole. I did NOTHING with it...after packing up all the threads, etc, I got there and found I forgot the batting and a backing. There is no JoAnne's or any fabric store nearby and I didn't have time to go running all over the place. By the time I met with Rayna, I was up to my neck in other stuff and knew I would not have time... soooo, it is back in the pile.
Oh, good grief - I have a million pieces of cloth that are close family to this one. I never know what to do with them, so they sit. I think the trick is to cut 'em up and use them in something small, which is what I plan to do. Or, sometimes you just have to give away half of it and see what soebody else does with it. It is charming and whimsical, but I know just what you are dealing with.
I recognize that piece! The break you took helped-It's getting better - put it away again and see what another break brings
I added some more stuff to it and just finished quilting it. It is not going to be a spectacular piece. I may add some more color to the lighter spots and maybe some beads.. that might just do it for this.
