No rest for the artsy

I have been plugging away and gotten 2 more small pieces finished. Both of these are also gifts. They are 10" squares. I am now working on finishing the Still Life's that I created in Pamelala's class. I am hoping to get all the machine work done and be able to take them with me to do the hand work when we are away. With any luck they will be ready for binding when I get back and maybe, just maybe I will be able to show them in a local show. Timing is the pits.

You really are putting what you've learned in Pamela's class to good use. I love the way you're combining the black and whites with the brights. They're both great. Lucky the recipients.

Thanks Norma. I am finding I really like working with black and white. I think there will be more in my future.

Congrats on the Sacred Threads piece, Sherryl! Also, these pieces are so much fun - and playful.

I have been dealing with computer woes for the last week and I hope I am finally back to reading all of my favorite blogs.

Sherryl, These are so charming. The first is so jolly with the combination of the blacks and whites and color and the second is quite peaceful. I wish I was sitting in that chair by that window reading that book! I was surprised to read that they were both just 10" square - you've managed to convey a lot in small spaces.

Both the quilts are beautiful, but I love the fabrics that you used for the vases!
