Mad Hatter

Wow, can't believe it is 3 weeks since my last post. Life has not been boring but I guess I did not have anything worth posting about.

I didn't get an invitation to the Royal Wedding or a ticket to the Kentucky Derby, but that did not stop me from having some fun. I love hats. Wish there were more places and more occasions to wear them. I  use to wear them several times a year but that was eons ago it seems. I rummaged through my old stash of hats and came up with a summery one that for some reason was pretty plain. I think it once had some netting around it but that is long gone. It is a lovely peach color and I thought it would be perfect for the season. Did you know that peach is not in style this year? No ribbon, no tulle, and only 1 flower even though I went to several different stores. No matter. I was never a slave to fashion. I am also not into the outrageous and my hat is pretty low key in comparison to some of the recent news worthy headpieces. I am happy with the results.

Counting down the days till my new grandson makes an entry into this world!

Wish me luck... I finished a piece I am entering into Houston.. Just need to put the paperwork in the mail. This will be a first time entry for me.

I love it, especially that light orange/cream at the front.

Love the hat! At our Woman's Club Spring Luncheon, one woman wore a hat (out of about 120) and it made quite a hit. I suggested that we all wear them next year. Yours would be sensational!
God luck with Houston. I entered two this year.
